FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: How long are the swims?
A: Usually between 4-5kms per swim. Elite swimmers may request longer distances and less experienced swimmers may choose shorter distances or breaks on the beach or kayak. We make sure all swimmers are satisfied with their swims.
Q: Who else will be on the Barbados Swim Holiday?
A: Fitness enthusiasts, Swimmers from novice to expert levels, triathletes – people who like to indulge in their passion for swimming while on holiday. We have a maximum of 12 Swimmers on each Holiday week and try our best to work on the individual needs and goals of each swimmer.
Q: Are the bedrooms at the Bath Beach House air conditioned?
A: The bedrooms are not A/C and they don't need to be, the breeze comes straight off the ocean and the
rooms are very cool day & night.
Q: More details on the accommodation please?
A: Guests will be staying at one of the nicest Beach Houses on the East Coast of Barbados and like most Beach House there are bedrooms, separate bathrooms with showers, living room with cable TV, dining room and kitchen. The sound of the ocean is prevalent throughout the house and is very relaxing.
Q: I have special dietary requirements. Is that a problem?
A: Not a problem, just let us know your special needs and our chef will do her best to satisfy you.
Q: Can I bring a non-Swimming partner?
A: Sure that's fine, there is plenty for non-Swimmers to do. Costs for non-Swimming partners will depend on
room sharing and other conditions, contact us to discuss further.
Q: How fast do I need to Swim?
A: We host swimmers with a very wide array of abilities. However, you must be able to maintain a steady pace for
at least 1.5km, and you must be comfortable with swimming in the Ocean.
Q: Why a Beach House on the East Coast as our Home base?
A: Although we are not conducting any of our daily swims on the East Coast the Beach House at Bath Beach was chosen for the rustic, peaceful beauty of the area and also because the surroundings allow guests to enjoy a whole host of exciting outdoor activities not available anywhere else on the island such as Kayaking in the Bay (the only place on the East Coast you can kayak), Snorkeling with the turtles, Trail running or Road Running, Hiking (many fantastic trails in the area), Stand Up Paddle boarding, Surfing, Reef walking, Mountain biking, Fishing, Spearfishing, boating or simply relaxing on a beach chair.
Also we provide all of this equipment at no extra costs.
Q: I still have questions!
A: That's fine, call or email us and we will explain everything. We want to make sure your Swim Barbados Holiday is magical.
